Ma'asei ha'Shlichim (Acts of the Apostles) - Chapter 9:

Now Shaul was still full of violence and rage and (had) murder(ous thoughts) towards the talmidim* of Maran.

And he asked for letters form the chief priests to give to the assemblies of Damascus that if he should find in them, any men or women, who follow the Way that he might arrest them and bring them to Yerushalayim.

And as he was travelling and approaching Damascus, all of a sudden there shone upon him a light from the heavens.

And he was cast down to the ground and he heard a voice saying to him, "Shaul! Shaul! Why do you persecute me? It will be hard for you to kick against the goads."

And Shaul answered and said, "Who are you, adoni*?" And Maran said (to him), "I am Yeshua the Nasraya, He whom you persecute."

"Rise up and enter into the city there and you will be instructed concerning what you should do."

And the men who were travelling with Shaul on the road were amazed because they only heard a voice but they could not see a man.

And Shaul rose up from the ground but he was unable to see anything although his eyes were open; and the men with him were holding him up by his hands and they brought him to Damascus.

He fasted for three days* and was still not able to see.

And there was a certain talmid* in Damascus whose name was Khananya. And Mar-Yah said to him in a vision, "Khananya!" And Khananya said, "Look, I am here, Mari.*"

And Maran said to him, "Rise up and go to the street that is called Straight and inquire at the house of Yehuda for Shaul who is from the city Tarsus."

"While he was praying he saw in a vision a certain man whose name was Khananya who entered the room and placed his hand upon him so that his eyes might be opened."

And Khananya said, "Mari, I have heard from many (of the talmidim) concerning this man, how much he has persecuted Your holy ones in Yerushalayim."

"And behold, even here he has authority from the high priests to arrest all those who call upon Your Name."

And Mar-Yah said to him, "Rise up and go because he is a chosen vessel to me, to carry my Name to the goyim and among kings and among the B'nai Yisrael."

"For I will reveal to him how much he will suffer because of my Name."

Then Khananya went to the house where Shaul was residing and placed a hand upon him and said to him, "Shaul, my brother, Maran Yeshua has sent me. He has appeared to you on the road while you were travelling that your eyes might be opened and that you might be filled with Holy Spirit."

And straightway what appeared to be scales fell from his eyes and his eyes were opened and he was baptised.

And he was given bread and he became stronger and was with the talmidim who were in Damascus for a few days.

And straightway he began teaching in the house of the assembly* of the Judaeans concerning Yeshua that He was the Son of God.

And all of those hearing him were amazed and they were saying concerning him, "Was this not the same man who was persecuting all those who call on the name Yeshua in Yerushalayim. Even here, for the same purpose, he was sent to carry away and bind us* over to the chief priests?"

And Shaul became more strengthened and was baffling those Judaeans who were living in Damascus while he was revealing that this* is Mshikha.

After some days had passed, some of the Judaeans (of Beit Shammai) were plotting against him to murder him for they were saying, "He has betrayed us!"

But it was shown to Shaul concerning their plot, that they were seeking after him to murder him (because he had left their house). And they kept observing him from the gates of the city each day and each night, in order to capture him and murder him.

The talmidim placed Shaul in a basket and lowered him down from the wall during the night.

And Shaul went to Yerushalayim and made it know that he was desiring to join the talmidim. But all of them were afraid of him and did not believe he (also) was a talmid.

So Bar Naba took him and brought him to the Shlikhim and related to them how on the road (to Damascus) he had seen (the glorious light of) Mar-Yah and how he spoke with them and how it was in Damascus that Shaul spoke bravely concerning the name of Yeshua.

Thus he was going in and out from among them in Yerushalayim.

And he was bravely speaking in the name of Yeshua* and debating with the Greek speaking Judaeans* who were travelling in Yisrael at the time. But they were plotting to murder him.

And when he became acquainted with the talmidim* in that place, they brought him to Caesarea by night.

The church that was spread throughout Judaea, the Galil and Samaria had within it peace; and it was built up by being instructed in the fear of God; and in the comfort of Holy Spirit it continued to grow.

It so happened that while Shimon was travelling throughout the cities he came down to the holy ones* who were residing in the city of Lod*.

And he found a certain man whose name was Anis who was resting on a mat, for he had been a paralytic for eight years.

And Shimon said to the man, "Sick one, Yeshua Mshikha heals you. Rise up and roll up your bed." And straightway he rose up.

And all who resided in Lod and Sharon saw him and began turning to God*.

Now there happened to be a certain talmid in the city of Yoffa who name was Tabitha* and she was rich in all the good deeds and in all the alms that she had been doing.

And she became ill and in those days she died. And they washed her and placed her body in an elevated room.

When the talmidim heard that Shimon was in the city of Lod* they sent two men to him to request that he not delay (in his) coming with them.

And Shimon rose up and went with them, and when he arrived, they took him to the elevated room, and standing gathered around him were all of the widows; they were weeping and showing to him the coats and cloaks that had been given to them* by Tabitha while she was alive.

Shimon put all of the people outside and knelt down on his knees and prayed and he turned to the body and said, "Tabitha, rise up". And she opened her eyes and observed Shimon, and at that moment she sat up.

And he stretched out his hand to her and raised her up and called to the holy ones and to the widows and gave her to them alive.

And this came to be known in all of the city and many believed in Maran.

Shimon was in Yoffa for several days residing in the house of (a certain man whose name was) Shimon (who was) a tanner (by trade).
